It's That Simple, Just Do It!
The last 2-3 days I have been extremely sleep deprived.
Sleeping 3-6 hours per night.
On my laptop.
On my phone.
Reading books.
Creating content.
All on my bed at night.
I advise clients to manage stress and get qualitative and quantitative sleep by reducing blue light 2 hours before bed, keeping work space separate from bed space, fictional reading and meditation/time for yourself.
I'm not doing any of them at the moment to be honest, if not the opposite.
Work is full flight at the moment and my productivity in the time I am investing into my work is becoming less productive.
E-mails taking double as long to write.
Programs becoming more difficult than usual.
House becoming messier.
What's the solution?
SLEEP.
What am I doing?
NOT SLEEPING.
Denying the fact it is so simple to fix and using other things to try and compensate.
Coffee, working out, energy drinks (white monster) and excess calories to "boost" me.
It's funny when you KNOW WHAT TO DO but don't do it because it's easier to do what you've always done.
In reality, I just need a good 8-10hour sleep and I'll be more productive and work more efficiently.
Just like when you know you should just eat less food but instead try to out-train your bad diet.
And like when you know you should stop watching Netflix and do your studies but choose to binge on Suits.
Or like when you know you should follow a program but choose to make up your own random exercises and workout regime.
DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO.
