“I received my welcome pack from Brock on 6th Feb 2018. At this point I had recently been diagnosed with a benign brain tumour and I wanted to get as strong as possible before my op. I decided my goals were to lift an 80kg deadlift, be able to perform chin ups unassisted and to lose some fat whilst maintaining muscle. With Brock, all my goals were achieved. My starting weight was 57kg and my DEXA scan, 8 months later, showed that I lost 7.7kg of fat, whilst maintaining the same muscle mass. I also took part in the Sydney Spartan race with Brock's team and with a carefully tailored program, Brock helped me with injury prevention by strengthening specific muscles. Exactly one year later, on 6th Feb 2019, I will be having my op and feel confident that I am in the best condition I can be thanks to Brock.”

“When I first came across Brock’s page, I was very skeptical of him and the work he does. I was too quick in my assumptions thinking, “Sure, another Mr. Perfect trying to coach others. Man, look at him. This guy probably does not even know what craving is. He can never relate to my issues. Then how come he can even help me out?!” But I am glad I decided to subscribe to his page “just in case.” Later after seeing his posts and stories I realized that Mr. Perfect is a normal human being. He is not acting like he is perfect. Not pretending that he does not have cravings, days when he does not want to head to the gym. Usually, other coaches will try not to share too much information with their clients so the latter will not get super knowledgeable and therefore feel comfortable working out on their own. But that’s not the case with Brock! Unlike many others, he is not encouraging you to purchase supplements by stating that you cannot achieve results without taking in those supplements. I am so glad I have signed up for Brock’s program. He was always there for me. When I was celebrating my achievements or when I was about to crumble down and quit. He genuinely cares about his clients and wants them to succeed. Eventually, this is not only about the physical. The program had its positive impact on many other aspects of my life. After seeing that I was able to achieve something I used to consider impossible for many years, I felt empowered to achieve other “impossible” goals I used to have. Thank you so much, Brock!”

I've done many programs before and honestly Brock's without question is the best one I have done Brock has shown professionalism as well as communication with me throughout the 8 week program. I’ve struggled for most of my life with my body image and disordered eating. I’ve always found the gym incredibly intimidating. I never grew up in the weight room or had anyone teach me how to lift. I’ve been following your content for a while now because the way you presented your content seemed accessible/doable. I signed up initially because I had no idea what I was doing, and I knew I needed to start taking better care of myself. My main goal was to gain muscle/weight. Before starting the challenge, I weighed maybe 145lb. I’ve gained 12 lbs after the two months. I feel strong in my body. I’ve learned so much, and I don’t feel completely lost in the gym anymore.  My biggest takeaway has been eating to fuel my body. Before the challenge I was eating maybe 1,000 calories and malnourished. By the end of the challenge, I believe I got up to 2,800 calories. It challenged a lot of my lifelong narratives and struggles around food and body image. Especially, when I started gaining muscle and my body started to expand. My clothes got tighter. It was good and it meant I was meeting the goal (obviously). However, It freaked me out because I had never intentionally gained weight before and in the past “gaining or eating too much” was bad.. This experience has liberated me in ways that I did not expect. I also thought I would be burned out and sick of working out by the end of the challenge. However, i am more motivated than ever. I want to learn more about lifting and improve. I want to create new goals for myself, other than just “getting the workout done” (haha). Thank you for creating this content. You’ve been a tremendous help to me during this time in my life.

“Since I've begun the 3 months beginner program with Brock I can see weekly results on my body. The thing is I'm still eating the food I love BUT BALANCING! It's all about working out and balancing food regarding what Brock is teaching us through his videos and advices. Can I just say how wonderful it has been to be a part of this community? The programmes, guidance, and interaction is one thing- but just seeing everyone put in their 100% in the group has been so motivating. I started this programme with a history of body dysmorphia and EDs. And while I had to change quite a few things along the way to keep my history in mind, I'm blown at how much progress I've made in the gym and beyond.  The "after" picture was clicked just a few moments before I'm typing this message - so there's a lot of bloating and general weariness surrounding my body image. But there's no disgust. Because I think I've (finally!!) started learning how to view what my body is capable of doing instead of what it looks like. Thank you, Brock! I started training with Brock 12 weeks ago. I am doing the more one on one training service. I have found him very responsive to questions and if I seems to be “slacking” he checks in with me. As a 61 year old who has had 2 back surgeries, I find the routines exceptionally well designed. Don’t think he isn’t challenging me. As of this writing I have lost 6 pounds of body weight. No muscle mass!! I say jump in board and make your goals happen.

I'm so happy w how the challenge went for me. I did it mainly to drop some fat, which i’m happy to say i did, but for the first time it didn’t come at the expense of any muscle i’d built before, which is the main thing i’ve always struggled with. I'd get built but I'd get chubby, or I'd lose weight and the muscle too. Thanks so much Brock for not only the exercises but the nutritional tools and most importantly all the mindset stuff - i think not doing all or nothing keto low carb bullshit like I always do has been the biggest change for me and why this has been so much more successful and most importantly more enjoyable.

At the start of this latest challenge I was feeling pretty great and had gotten a lot leaner from where I started in June. I probably wasn’t fully as lean as I’d like to be with still some tummy fat, but after all of challenge 1 and most of 2 spent in a deficit, I wanted to make day to day life a lil less tough and focus on going harder on gaining strength. Finishing up now I’m feeling super strong and am lifting weights I never could before (no world records but better than i’ve ever done haha). The stuff I’m happiest about is how strong I’m feeling and the fact that the habit of eating nutritiously and working out 4-5 days a week is now fully ingrained and I’m not worried at all about how I’ll keep going.

The challenge was excellent! It wasn’t my first but it felt like my most successful. I focused on form more than anything this time around. Prior to that, I was focused on increasing weight. Brock’s workouts are set up in a way that feels attainable for any skill set. I only started working out about a year and a half ago for the first time in my life. His videos are so helpful! What keeps me motivated is continually testing my body to see just how much it is capable of. But understanding that building muscle takes a long time and if you want to see viable changes; consistency is key. That’s likely my biggest takeaway from Brock’s programming and teachings in general. Thank you Brock!!

I started my weight loss journey 3-4 years ago and have lost a total of 87 pounds.  After I was done losing weight I still felt like when my shirt would come off I wouldn’t have much to show for all the weight lifting and gym going that I was doing.  I made some progress last year, but felt that I needed some help. In January with this challenge, I went into cut mode and to hopefully find some muscle under there.  So far am VERY happy with the progress and excited to keep going .

Down 17.4lbs. Right before this challenge I ran a marathon where I was disappointed in my performance in the second half which told me I didn’t do enough in training. When my wife said I should do the Built By Brock 8 Week Challenge I didnt think I needed it I just said, “ohh I can do it myself”. But then I remembered what happened before I couldn’t push myself on my own. I do have to admit know I paid to do this and if I didn’t give it my all I’d be wasting money which I do hate but also the check ins and messages from others in the chat did help me along. The lessons I’ve learned throughout these 8 weeks will help me going forward. Thanks to Brock for teaching me a good slow rep is better that a lot of sloppy fast ones. I will definitely continue with my training in the future.
