Patience In The Process
Today was a difficult day.
It reminded me to keep patient.
It reminded me to trust the process.
I flew up to the Gold Coast on Thursday night to work on my website and further develop it.
That was the sole purpose of this trip.
I have spent all day Friday and most of today in front of a computer screen explaining what I want to my website team for my clients to see, experience and learn through the new and updated website.
It's so simple to say out loud in words but so hard to make it a reality and put it onto a website.
James was coding the website as fast as he could but still it took soooooo long!
As he codes, I'm staring blankly into the screen and getting lost. It looks like the matrix.
At the front of my mind, I can see exactly what I want to achieve. The functionality, the buttons, the colours, the structure and the layout. EVERYTHING but the process was slowing me down.
We called it a night and wrapped up for the day.
Another 3-4 weeks and the website will be close to completion...
3-4 WEEKS?? I flew up this weekend to finish it off and we have to push it back!
To top it off, I had only eaten an omelette in the morning and we had been working to 6:30pm... I am starving (completely ravenous), lethargic, frustrated and to be honest.... over it.
Sounds familiar right?
Having a goal, wanting to achieve it so bad but the process is slowing you down, so you feel like giving up.
Whether it is fat loss, building muscle or getting toned, there is going to be days where you will feel like you're not making any progress.
Days where you feel like you have to start from scratch.
Days where you feel like you have even moved backwards!
Days where you feel like you have done everything right but the process is taking too long.
The weight just wont budge, the muscle just won't build.
Trust the process.
Nothing goes perfectly according to plan.
Not everything works in a linear fashion like we want it to.
For example, weight loss of 10kgs in 10 weeks, would rarely happen at a 1kg per week speed.
It'd more likely be 3kg in the first week, 2.5kg in the second, 1kg in the third, no weight loss in the fourth and a 2kg weight loss in the fifth week etc etc.
The only thing that you can control is the process you choose and how compliant you are to that process.
