Christmas Is Like A DIY Fish Feeder

Before I left to Shell Harbour for Christmas I had to make sure my fish were looked after.

I have an automatic feeder (AF) but it doesn't fit correctly to the lid of my fish tank.

So I made this 'Home Alone' contraption to make sure it doesn't fall off the edge.

First I tried to sticky tape the AF to the fish tank in a horizontal fashion, that failed.  Then I tried to sticky tape it vertically over the horizontal to make it double strength, also failed.  Then I weighed the sticky tape down with books and a …

First I tried to sticky tape the AF to the fish tank in a horizontal fashion, that failed.

Then I tried to sticky tape it vertically over the horizontal to make it double strength, also failed.

Then I weighed the sticky tape down with books and a filled up Voss bottle.

It seemed to work, so I left it like this and hoped for the best.

It reminded me of what our diets will be like over Christmas.

They won't work perfectly.

We have to make changes along the way.

We have to make small adjustments as we go along.

The main thing I want you to understand is...

Your diet may not be perfect over the holiday season but think on your toes and do your best.

Doing your best is better than doing nothing.
