My Biggest Lessons Of 2019
Happy New Years 🎈
Reflecting back on 2019, the biggest thing I learnt is not that life changing at all.
It’s simple. Too simple to be sexy.
Probably more the opposite of what you want to hear in a "motivational" e-mail
But sometimes the truth isn’t packaged in a cute little 30 day challenge or a silent yoga retreat in the mountains.
The first thing I learnt is...
1) Execute.
You can read books about it. You can watch documentaries about it. You can even talk to people about it. But nothing substitutes doing it.
The more you do, the more you learn.
The more you learn, the better you do.
Whatever you want to do, be or become, you must continue to execute tasks that will help you progress.
The second thing I learnt was...
2) Execute consistently.
Being in the right place and the right time is not luck. It is an appointment of preparation and opportunity.
Opportunity comes more often than we think but we often miss it due to the lack of preparation to step up to the plate.
Being consistent in doing, doing and more doing [instead of talking], will lead to consistently better results.
So simple and so easy to do yet the hardest to get people to do.
Let me paint a picture for you...
There is only one way to lose weight. It’s not talking about a calorie deficit, or thinking about a calorie deficit, it’s getting into a calorie deficit. EXECUTION. CONSISTENT EXECUTION.
My wish for you is that in 2020 you execute and you execute consistently ❤️
