Your Goals are YOUR GOALS

A client of mine returned from a holiday in the Caribbean today.

Clear blue waters, beautiful beaches, yachts, sunshine and the best part of it all.... she packed the best body she has ever had.

EVER!!! Like in her life!

It was the first time ever that she wore a bathing suit and has had complete confidence.

She posted a photo of an amazing bikini shot on instagram, that she would have never taken before.

What an achievement! Confidence :)

Of course, I screenshot the photo and saved it like the proud coach that I am... #notacreep

I set her calories to maintenance levels to give her room to have fun, enjoy the cocktails and eat very flexibly and take in the culture while she was on vacation.

She stuck to them for a couple of days and the rest of it was history...

She didn't follow them... not at all!

Too much alcohol, too much bad food and ultimately too many calories. She blew out.

What a failure, right? Complete mess up!

WRONG!

She said to me, "You know what Brock. I don't regret anything at all. I hit my goal of getting into the best shape I had ever been in (which she completely did) and I achieved that! I'm pretty proud of myself for that".

This was so amazing to hear.

Most people would be down in the dumps.. upset that they're no longer at the stage that they were at after 3 months of dieting and intense training 6 days per week.

But not her, she set a goal and smashed it.

She may not be where she was on holiday but she's pretty damn happy with herself that she achieved what she did.

If she tried to set another goal, she'd carry that same self belief into it and smash that goal!

You see...

Goals are personal.

They are yours and no one else’s.

If you want to lose fat and get toned but drink cocktails and eat your cake too, you may have to accept the fact it'll take you a bit longer.

THAT'S COOL.

If you want to workout to get a tinder date and move on from your ex, that's great! DO YOU!

If you want to be an example to your family and peers by leading a healthy lifestyle and being the best version of yourself. I love that! Once again, DO YOU!

What ever goal you have, set it and smash it!

The first step to making a change is setting a goal.

If you want guidance hitting your goal, you know where to find me.

You're one goal away from changing your life... or at least making your vacation in the Caribbean that much better ;)
