The Benefits Of Sleeping Around....
I'm not surprised that my productivity at work has felt amazing.
That my workouts have felt easy and that I have felt strong.
That I have always been keen to go for a walk in and get my steps up.
That I have been consistent with my calories and macros for over 7 weeks now.
My sleep has never been better.
I just went back and scanned my sleep data from over a year ago and back in 2020 Jan - March, I was getting just above 5 hours per night on average.
Now I'm averaging over 7 hours and Fitbit also says that I'm awake when I'm not because I'm a 'mover' when I sleep. In saying that I'm probably closer to 7.5hours or 8 hours of sleep on average.
I suppose this is one positive of lockdown that I am taking away, the importance of sleep.
Too many people throw supplements at their health like, "FIX MEEEEE", without looking at the fundamentals... like sleep.
Fat burners, green powders, pre workout, creatine, protein powder...
The thing is, sleep isn't sexy.
"Sleep when you're dead right?"
I used to think so too but now I think, "Don't sleep and you feel dead".
Sure you sleep less and are awake more but when you are under-slept, your output in the hours that you are awake is much, much lower.
