Why Being Married & Being Single At The Same Time Doesn't Work

Today, I was reminded of a quote that I have in one of my videos for all of my team members.

We only have a finite amount of time to spend on an infinite amount of things.

This video was in context of stress and time management but it can apply to anything in our lives really.

When you're setting goals, focus on one or two big ones because if you try and achieve 10 goals at a time, you'll likely hit none.

When you're organising your calendar, do 1-2 things really well. If you try and schedule everything it, it won't fit and you will be severely overwhelmed!

When you're deciding what career to choose, specialise. If you want to be everything, you'll be nothing. I'm not saying you can't be what you put your mind to but put your mind only to a few things.

This idea of being really good at a few things as opposed to very average at a lot of things, is a well known idea and is the best way to get ahead in anything you want to get ahead in.

Trust me, this is coming from a guy who wanted to be an All Black, a zookeeper, a TV presenter, a singer, a personal trainer and a marine biologist.

Ive realised that I'm better to focus my energy on being a GREAT coach and letting everything else pretty much fall into being hobbies.

But on a practical scale, if you want to build muscle and lose fat at the same time. Choose one.

If you want to get strong or get cardio fit, you're better to choose one (if you want to optimise one process).

If you want to be single or be married, choose one!!! Hahaha.
