First Email As A Married Man 🤵🏻‍♂️

As I sit on a flight to the islands next to my new wife hooked up to the wifi, I wanted to share with you the best piece of advice our celebrant gave to us as we were rehearsing our ceremony.

She told us was not to hold back our emotions.

That is the worst thing we could’ve done in her books and she’s done hundreds of weddings.

If you’re too busy focusing on holding back your tears, and the ugly face that comes with it, as opposed to focusing on being present in the moment and soaking in the families support and love, you’ll miss out on your wedding.

Even though you’ll be standing there holding your husband/wife’s hand, you’ll miss it.

I kinda wish she didn’t tell me know because i the ceremony I was an absolute wreck.

I was already crying when Kiki’s sister walked down the isle, let alone my bloody wife.

I couldn’t hold back the ugly faces. They just kept coming.

My tears dropped onto my father in laws shoulder as I thanked him for walking my wife down the aisle.

I choked on my words as I said my vows.

And even though, the photos that we get back from the photographer will be drowning in my ugly crying face, at least I was present (and was so Kiki).

The ceremony didn’t rush by.

We didn’t feel like we weren’t present.

We were right there in the moment and we couldn’t have had a better ceremony.

And that goes with everything that we do.

If you’re in a relationship, you’re not in with your left foot and out with your right you bloody toe-dipper. Go all in.

If you’re trying to make a name for yourself in your career, show up early and leave late.

If you’re trying to get fit, go all in and embrace it and you’ll have memories and results with you forever.

If you’re all in on the weekend with your prepped meals and sweaty workouts then when it comes to the weekend you just completely forget about your health. Don’t be surprised if the weeks and months rush by you and you’re standing there with no results, no changed habits and a bunch of wasted time.

All in or nothing, I say.

Everything I do, I’m all in.

My work, my clients, my wife, my family, my friends, my fitness, my reading and studying… everything I do, I do it with all that I am.

It’s not something you switch in or off.

It’s a mindset you develop and grow if you want to bring the best out of your life.

And your life can change from here on too, if you go all in on yourself and join Team Brock Ashby by simply clicking here 🤙
