Are You An Intellect Or A Genius? ðŸ§
I heard an absolute gem of a quote while I was listening to a podcast yesterday...
"Intellects solve problems, geniuses prevent them." - Albert Einstein.
And to put this directly into fitness, this is where you, and most people, trip up with your diet.
Solving your over eating situation with an extreme diet, strict AF meal plan or fasting for a whole day to try and compensate for a big weekend or day of lost control.
And look, there's nothing wrong with that but put your genius hat on for a minute or two and just don't get yourself into that situation, prevent it.
Which is where most of the success, in the success stories that exist in Team Brock Ashby, happens.
The avoiding of getting yourself into sticky situations through flexible dieting.
Flexible dieting has literally been my saviour and has been the key to me overcoming extreme big eating and that hanging feeling of being 'stuck in a rut' for years.
I was locked in a prison of "carbs make you fat", "fruit is bad for you" and ice cream was definitely out of the picture.
I was constantly trying to solve my problem with diet after diet after diet which never worked because I was never preventing the problem with a shift in my mindset and approach to flexible dieting, I was only trying to solve it with crash/fad diets.
I was literally stuck for years.
This is the reason there's so much emphasis on education in Team Brock Ashby.
So I can educate you into preventing problems, not solving them.
