How To Get Yourself Out Of A $hit Situation 💩💨
Yesterday was the day I was dreading the whole time I was away on honeymoon...
The first Jiu Jitsu session after 4 weeks off.
4 weeks of pure gluttony #DessertWithEveryMeal, getting married, going on honey moon and absolutely no conditioning.
I came up with about 3 legit excuses I could've used to get out of it:
- "I needed to rest more from the gym"
- "I needed to drive to the airport to pick up some #TeamBrockAshby t-shirts
- "I had to work"
All perfectly legit excuses but all I could feel was my gut churning and a voice in my head saying... "stop being a pu$$y".
So I decided to go.
I walked in with my head down and nervous, ready to get absolutely smothered.
And I did.
I got absolutely hammered.
Guys that didn't use to tap me, tapped me.
I was getting choked left right and centre.
I felt like absolute $hit and to be honest, I still look back at it today and it grinds my gears.
I hate being crap at things, we all do.
But the difference between being crap (temporarily) and staying crap (permanently) is the amount of times you show up.
Your genetics, talent and natural knack for something can only take you so far but your work ethic can take you further.
Just like I was humbled yesterday with arm bars, chokes and triangles, it might be time for you to get your ass kicked by the weights room.
It's time to wake up sore again.
It's time to get your food scales out again.
The first day is the hardest but every day after the first day is a step toward changing your future.
