This Really Pi$$e$ Me Off

One thing that really gets under my skin is that there is this notion that it has to be 'either or' instead of 'both and'.

For example...

Should you do free weights and machines?

Should you eat carbs or avoid carbs?

Should you be 100% plant based or follow the carnivore diet?

That doesn't need to exist.

"To see the world in only one or the other way is to be wilfully blind."

When I'm programming for clients, I love opening up the sessions with free weights and moving towards machines as fatigue increases because it's a safer environment to fail and requires less stability.

I love carbs for clients to enhance their performance, recovery and productivity throughout the day but some don't like too many and prefer a diet higher in fat.

I don't like a 100% plant based diet because the amino acid profile of the protein from plant based protein sources are inferior to animal based protein sources but I do agree we should consume more plants on average.

Yes, there are certain principles you need to follow in fitness to get a result but inside them there is room for ice cream on a Friday night, a couple of glasses of red wine on Saturday and a burger on Sunday.

And if you want a hand to make that a part of your lifestyle hit the button below and see how I can help you!
