You'll Never Guess This!

Tracking my calories always slaps me in the face a bit.

The other day I tracked my calories and landed on a whopping 5,351 calories!! #surpluslife

Then last night, it slapped my face the other way. I went to rip open my chocolate connoisseur ice cream tub and stuff my face, when I remembered I wanted to drop my body fat in 4 weeks time. So I got out my scale and weighed my ice cream. It was …

Then last night, it slapped my face the other way.

I went to rip open my chocolate connoisseur ice cream tub and stuff my face, when I remembered I wanted to drop my body fat in 4 weeks time.

So I got out my scale and weighed my ice cream.

It was sad. Very, very sad.

I had to scoop ice cream from my bowl back to the tub. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I was only able to have about 1/4 of what I would usually have (which is the whole tub).

Although I wasn't happy about the amount of ice cream I could have, I'm committed to the amount of calories I need to hit in order to get my goal. It's funny how far away you actually are, from where you think you are when tracking your calories. …

Although I wasn't happy about the amount of ice cream I could have, I'm committed to the amount of calories I need to hit in order to get my goal.

It's funny how far away you actually are, from where you think you are when tracking your calories.

You're like, "oh yeah, that'll be 500 calories".

Nek minnit, 900 calories.

If you leave yourself to do the guess work, you leave yourself to work with a guess.

And where has that "guess" got you so far?

Overweight?

Unemployed?

Single?

Poor?

I don't mean to strike any nerves and offend someone but I want to be really real with you today.

When you leave things to guess work, you're left with a guess!

Track everything that you want to improve in.

Track your weight if you're over weight.

Track your work ethic if you're unemployed.

Track your attitude and behaviour if you're single.

Track your finances if you're poor.

That is the exact reason I get my clients to track their progress EVERY SINGLE WEEK.

Photos, measurements, emails.

Any tool to keep track on their progress, commits them to achieving their goal.

There is no coincidence that the clients of mine that ask the most questions and check-in the most regularly are the hardest workers and biggest achievers in their transformational journey (and in their career).

Think about that.

IF YOU LEAVE THINGS TO GUESS WORK, YOU'RE LEFT WITH A GUESS.
