WHO are you?
A couple weeks ago I think I received one of the best compliments in my life.
It had nothing to do with my body.
Nothing to do with my level of knowledge.
Absolutely nothing to do with my level of success.
The compliment was this...
"You're actually exactly the same as you are on instagram in real life."
Everyone claims to be so much more than they are in this insta-vs-reality era.
It's sad that being transparent is such a novelty these days.
When was it ever cool to pretend to be someone you're not?
Everyone's an entrepreneur without ever running a business.
An online coach without a transformation to their name.
An influencer without a real message to spread.
One of the best pieces of advice I ever had from a mentor at a young age was to let others sing your praises.
Let people talk about how much weight you have lost, as opposed to you saying how much you're going to lose.
Let people talk about how you opened the door for them as opposed to saying how much of a nice person you are.
Let your family pat you on the back for washing the dishes as opposed to saying you'll do it after the next ad break.
Let people tell others about how you paid for the bill at lunch instead of telling people how generous you are.
Be WHO you are.
Be the best WHO you can.
Don't change that WHO for anybody.
WHOever you are, don't exaggerate it.
Let others praise your WHO.
