4 guys, 20 Balls And A Big Swinging Club
This right here is proof that I, Brock Ashby, actually won a Top Golf game!
Last time I played, I came last to my brother and his fiancé... TWICE.
So it felt good to get an 'up' on my last performance.
If you haven't played Top Golf before let me quickly explain it for you.
You're in a golf driving range with any club to suit the shot you want to hit.
There's about 8 targets, increasing in difficulty as they get further away from you.
If you get the ball in the targets, you get points.
The further the target, the more the points.
The closer to the bullseye of the target, the more the points.
If you hit a target, you get double points for your next shot.
I was playing with Steve, Noah and Jamal in a free-for-all and we had 20 shots each but chose to do 5 each and rotate until we hit 20 shots.
The reason I won the game was because in one series of 5 shots, I got 5 in a row that landed in a target.
The first one was single points but then they were all double points THEN on top of that I got a bonus 10 points for hitting targets every shots!
Consistency got me the win.
No flash shots.
No big drives.
No tricks.
Nothing out of the ordinary.
Boring, plain old, consistent shots.
Consistency ALWAYS win the game.
Fat loss wins when a boring calorie deficit is consistent.
Muscle building happens when boring progressive overload is consistent in your workout programs.
Marriages avoid divorce when a boring kiss and "I love you" is consistent.
Businesses succeed when a boring hard working ethic is consistent.
