A Fast One But A Good One
Just finished rushing through my workout. I’m a sweaty mess.
The gym shut at 7pm and I walked through the doors and saw the clock at 6:10pm.
That gave me 50mins to do what I usually do in 75mins.
I made the 60sec rest periods 30sec.
I removed all the rest periods for the single arm exercises (it was shoulder day) and performed them back to back.
I didn’t get any personal bests...
I didn’t necessarily feel the mind-muscle connection every exercise as I usually do...
I probably didn’t even get the tempo correct because I was rushing...
But I made a decision to continue my momentum towards my goals of becoming stronger and making exercise a daily habit.
Instead of rolling my eyes at the clock and walking back home I did what I could with what I had.
Instead of missing a gym session, I smashed a gym session.
Instead of losing momentum, I gained momentum.
Instead of feeling defeated, I felt victorious.
Just like a concert on a rainy day, the show had to go on!
But what got me through today’s session was having a goal I’m committed to.
If there's no goal, there's no purpose.
So when you're short on time, you’ll decide to move forward instead of make excuses.
