The most life changing saying I have read in a book that I endeavour to live by goes a little like this:

"Do first things first."

Simple right?

4 words.

Prioritise the things that you need to first and the things you want to do later.

When I woke up, I knew I had many things to do:

- Complete #TeamBrockAshby programs (there was many)

- Answer all my emails

- 3 loads of washing

- Make some phone calls

- Do further study on my nutrition course

- Workout

- Write this daily email

- Post on my social channels

I immediately thought what I needed to do as soon as possible and what can wait until other tasks are completed.

I figured I shouldn't call people at 7am in the morning on a Sunday, so I'll do that in the afternoon.

I can study in my own time before bed and it'll help relax me before sleeping.

I can workout when I get everything done.

I can post on socials while I walk to the gym in the sun.

A trick to doing first things first is also to do the biggest and scariest thing first, to allow you to have a clear mind when approaching the less important things.

If you need to call your Dad and tell him you are sorry, do THAT first.

If you need to put your shoes on and go for a run first thing in the morning, do THAT first.

If you need to revise your notes first thing in the morning, do THAT first.

If you need to cook breakfast for your family before they enjoy their Sunday, do THAT first.

Make sure what you're doing FIRST, will get you closer to where you want to be.
