A Brave Cock
A Cockatoo just came up to the window and screeched for food about five minutes ago.
It even had the courage to bang his beak against the window.
Then he just stared...
Stared into our soul.
Staring for bread.
I almost gave in to giving him some of my precious wrap calories but I stopped myself.
Because the zookeeper inside of me knows, if we feed wild animals, they begin to forget their natural instinct of finding food.
The more we do it, the more they become reliant on us and less reliant on their hunting and surviving skills.
All of a sudden we move apartments and they die of starvation because they think we'll be there with your bread.
We kill the cockatoos, not them!
The difference between cockatoos and us... well, isn't much really.
Especially some people I've met 🤣
If we rely too much on our gym buddy to train with us, as soon as they travel for for work, or are under the weather, we're doomed.
If we rely too much on our personal trainer, as soon as the holiday season begins and they take holiday, all the centimetres jump back on our waistline.
If we rely too much on our parents to pay our rent and let us stay under their roof, when you have to move out, you'll be on the streets.
Rely on others to feed you and you survive today.
Rely on yourself to feed you and you survive tomorrow.
That's why in #TeamBrockAshby I'm not trying to train you until you die.
I want to train you until you feel like you know everything you needed, and wanted, to know to get the body and life you always wanted.
So go on, be a brave cock and knock on my window.
