The Magical Body Transforming Fairy

Hey you, I've got a few questions for you.

How do you get better at riding a bike?

You ride a bike.

You may start with trainer wheels on but you get your legs spinning and you pedal.

How do you learn a language?

You speak the language over and over again.

Your teacher gives you exercises and you do them.

You get better at Spanish as a result.

How do you save money?

You put it away.

You sacrifice spending the money and you keep saving it.

So why the hell does it have to change with fitness?

Quick-fixes do not exist.

You have to fall on your ass a few times before you can ride a bike.

You have to get a few words wrong when you're learning a language.

You have to spend a bit of money to appreciate the true value of money and why you should save it.

Fitness is no different.

Doing the same program over and over for 4-6 weeks is the equivalent to learning how to pedal.

Hitting your calorie deficit consistently day to day is just as necessary as saving money is to accumulating wealth.

Repetition is the only way to get better.

It's funny how we have so much patience when saving money but none when we're trying to lose weight and build muscle.

It's the same thing.

It's time to stop looking for the "magical fairy" to grant your body transformation wishes.

Roll your sleeves up, put your head down and keep pedaling.
