How To Choose Your Personal Trainer

The Personal Training Industry needs help.

When I think of a Fitness First Personal Trainer in Australia, this is what comes to mind...

Phone out, texting or on the gram.

Client doing poor form.

No program in sight for the client to follow.

Presented in an unprofessional manner.

I thought this was just in Sydney... but look what I found!

Even in the Philippines, the standard of Personal training is dropping! I saw this guy on his phone, gave him a chance and said, "it could be an emergency". I saw him on his phone again and his client jumped on his phone too. Then I saw his clien…

Even in the Philippines, the standard of Personal training is dropping!

I saw this guy on his phone, gave him a chance and said, "it could be an emergency".

I saw him on his phone again and his client jumped on his phone too.

Then I saw his client performing bad form and he didn't correct it.

Then after 45mins of training by myself he was still on his phone and that is when I took this snap.

My blood was boiling.

I pour my heart and soul into this career and you treat it like this?

Taking this photo isn't very PC of me but I really want the standard of Personal Training to lift!

We can't pay these trainers our money.

Not one cent.

I am not perfect, not at all.

I have made my fair share of mistakes and will honestly own up to them.

But this is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Where's the personalised program?

Where's the attention to technique/form?

Where's the rapport?

Where's the passion?

Where's the professionalism?

If you're not in it to win it, then quit!

Here's 3 things I want you to consider when choosing a trainer...

Whether it's online or face to face!

1) Does he care? For you, for the standard of his work, for his other clients.

2) Is he passionate? For healthy living, for knowledge, for excellent service.

3) Does he get results? Do his clients get what they ask for (within reason)?

I love this industry, let's keep it clean :)
