Why I Lost Followers On Instagram
Over the last few weeks the growth of my instagram page has come to a stop and actually declined.
The truth is...
Eating donuts and losing weight hasn't clicked with many people.
It's actually pi$$ed more people off than it's enlightened them.
And that's fair enough.
I would have never believed it in the past either.
All the fitness coaches are talking about:
- eating clean
- keto diet
- intermittent fasting
- 5:2 diet
- fasted cardio
And here's @brockashby over here eating donuts and he's lost 2.2kg in 5 days and he hasn't done a step of cardio.
But just because most people say something, doesn't mean most people are right.
I'm not saying that the methods above aren't efficient for losing weight, they are great but the truth is they only work because a calorie deficit is created.
Which is how I'm able to lose weight eating three donuts every day.
Humans are biased.
We want to believe what fits our bias and truth is all we know is eating green vegetables and chicken breast and avoiding carbs to lose weight.
Which works... but so can eating donuts if we do it intelligently.
Hit your fibre target, hit your protein target and hit your daily calories for the day and there's room for some fun.
Sure you can eat like a rabbit and lose weight.
But what about when you're faced with engagement celebrations?
Are you gonna pass on the cake?
What about when it's your best friends birthday?
Are you gonna bring some Tupperware and eat your own meal at the table of the restaurant?
What about when your girlfriend or boyfriend wants to take you for ice cream?
Are you gonna turn it down for a bottle of water and a protein shaker full of casein protein?
I'm a real world coach, not an ideal world coach.
Because we live in the real world.
Full of stress, full of emotions, full of mood swings, full of break ups, full of job losses, full of giving into temptation and full of stuff ups.
That's where we live and if there's no room in our diet, workout program or lifestyle to allow for that, we're setting ourselves up to fail, binge, rinse and repeat.
So I'll take the drop in followers on the chin because I'm not here to transform everyones body.
I'm here to transform your body.
The person that clicks with my ethos.
The person that is sick of failing over and over again by trying to eat, train and live perfectly.
I'm here to tell you, we can use your imperfections to your advantage and get the results you want.
Because those imperfections are what we can use to tailor your diet to your preferences, your workout to your schedule and your lifestyle to get the body you've always wanted.
