Yesterday after the gym, I was wondering why people need to be overweight to start worrying about the extra kgs they're carrying around that are jeopardising their health.

Or have a heart attack to realise that they need to start exercising and eating right.

Or lose someone they love to appreciate the true blessing it is to be alive every single day.

And it was answered in this study done above.

Two groups of students did problem solving tasks.

One group did the tasks and then did the lecture.

Another group did the lecture and then did the tasks.

The group that did the task first had a superior understanding to the group that did the lecture first.

The group that did the lecture first and the task after had less of an understanding and the process was less difficult.

The way I interpret this is...

There were two groups...

DOERS and NON-DOERS.

DOERS roll up their sleeves and get to business and learn along the way. Practicality first, then theory.

NON-DOERS take caution first. Theory first, then practicality.

I'm not saying we need to dive in to everything blindly, I'm saying we need not to be afraid of doing first because we will probably come out better.

Which is why I don't give meal plans because you don't learn anything when you're given the answers.

You need to be given the tools to get the correct answers (calories and macros) to find the answers for yourself (a well balanced meal plan created by you).

That way you have a deeper understanding of what foods work for you and your goals.

So if you're ready to do, I'm ready to do as well.
