Did you know a bamboo takes about five years to grow to its full potential?

Yet, it only emerges through the soil in the last five weeks, growing up to 90 feet tall.

Knowing this, would you say it took five weeks to grow this tall, or five years?

Obviously, we'd say five years.

But the first four years and 47 weeks goes unrewarded to the tree grower.

Because it looks like you're just watering soil, when in reality you're watering a 90 foot tall bamboo tree.

Which is why it's so important to look at the end goal, not the current situation.

Because the road to an end goal isn't pretty.

It's not rewarding.

It's eating a side of broccoli instead of hot chips.

It's sweating your ass off in the gym.

It's going to bed at 9pm instead of midnight.

That's not fun!

But it's the only way to get to the 90 foot bamboo tree.
