If All You Do This Xmas Is Read This E-mail, It Could Be The Best Xmas Of Your Life
I stayed up last night until 11:30pm trying to post a video on instagram.
The video didn't even post, so I woke up at 5am to try again and it finally worked.
The wifi out here is pretty dodgy and even my data doesn't really work, so I'm hotspotting off Kiki's phone and now Sam's phone.
At the moment I'm "making do".
To be honest, it's making writing these daily emails, posting on insta and replying to my emails pretty sh*t but I'll keep chugging along.
Because there's power in consistency.
There's power in doing things over and over and over again, even when you don't want to do it.
I say this a lot.
Success is not just doing what you want when you want, it's about doing what you don't want when you need to.
I wanted to be asleep with my fiancé at 10:30pm.
Instead I was walking around every nook and cranny in this AirBnb (I even tried underneath the kitchen table) trying to get two bars on my 4G to post a "how to do a knee raise" video that didn't even upload anyway.
Then I woke up at 5am to post it, empty all my emails, reply to DM's comments and tick some boxes that needed to be ticked.
Because I know on the back of this work Team Brock Ashby will be better for it.
People that need help with their fitness goals will find that help through me as their coach.
And my existing clientele will continue making progress.
I'm not asking for a pat on the back.
I'm asking for you to be consistent.
I woke up at 3:30am to drive to Byron bay yesterday and today I woke up at 5am to pump some more work out.
I didn't want to do that.
There was no fluffy motivational cloud hovering over me at 5am.
But to me that is where the success lies.
Doing things you know you should do but can't be bothered doing.
Just like the workouts you skip.
The healthy meals you substitute for takeaways.
The bad habits you know you need to kick to the curb.
There's things you need to be doing instead of those habits that don't get you to where you want to be.
These habits all add up to the person you are and the person you are becoming.
If you're happy with that person, merry xmas and happy new year!
If you think that person can be and do better.
