Nerdy night in
Last night Kiki and I had a card game night.
We played Exploding Kittens and a new one called Duellerz.
Sounds pretty lame but to be honest, I wouldn't rather be doing anything else.
TV? Na.
Going out for dinner? Na.
Card games and board games are so fun.
I don't know why they somehow became extinct and somewhat 'nerdy'.
They're challenging for the mind, you make each other laugh, you learn how to win with humility and lose with grace and you also learn how to enjoy other peoples company.
I reckon, if you can't bear a games night with your friend/partner, are they really a friend/partner?
Technology has advanced and now we can watch Netflix series, play Playstation or go to the movies but just because technology has advanced doesn't mean it has necessarily evolved for the better of our quality of life but more so for the convenience of it.
Playing cards and watching TV both give us enjoyment but one gives it to us faster and by the touch of a button as opposed to the shuffle of a deck.
Convenience.
But when we look at where we are investing our time, what are we getting?
One is screen time and one is human time.
I'll take cards every night of the week.
Just because something is more convenient for us doesn't mean it is always better for us.
Fast food vs. whole cooked meal.
Copying answers vs doing the test yourself.
With every decision you make ask yourself, am I doing this because it's more convenient or because it's more beneficial for me?
It's important to know where we are spending our time and what we are getting back from that time invested.
Which is why I only ask 8 weeks of you to get a huge return of a new and transformed body.
All you have to do is invest 8 weeks with me as your coach.
