One Thing I Forgot To Do When I Started Lifting

Yesterday, we went for a walk along the coastline of Sydney that links up to Bondi.

We took the dog, a few card games and our swimmers.

Seriously, one of the best days ever under the summer sun.

We walked, we hung out, we talked, we swam, we drank coffee.

It doesn't get much better than that to be honest.

Small strokes of a paintbrush create the bigger picture.

Sure it was cool to get steps in and get some sun yesterday but I think a lot of people in the fitness game forget about spending time with your loved ones, friends and family and actually just enjoying life.

What's the point in having a physique you love but a life you hate?

I've been there...

So focused on working out twice a day and tracking my calories/macros that I would turn down dinners out, social events and seeing people I loved.

Because I thought it took away from my life but in reality it gives something much richer that calories and workouts can't give.

Purpose and fulfilment.

Which is why in TBA I don't ask you to drop everything and commit 8 weeks of your life to having me as your coach.

I ask you to prioritise your fitness amongst a life you love.

Whether that looks like training 4 days per week or 6 days per week, there is a way to get results and also live a life you freaking love.
