Why You Don't Need Me As Your PT (anymore) 🤡

When I was studying to be a PT I remember one of the PT's that I was learning under telling me something...

"You have to make the client need you."

"So choose exercises that you're involved in", he said.

Throw a medicine ball to them.

Hi-5 them at the top of sit ups.

Put your hands at the top of the bicep curl range so they know where to stop.

I tried these sorts of things back in NZ and it actually worked.

I grew a client base very fast and had back to back sessions in a matter of weeks but truth is, looking back at it now...

I couldn't think of a worse way to get a client.

I saw it the other day, a PT was pushing down so damn hard on his clients lower back while she was doing the leg curl to keep it down while she was curling her legs up.

If I saw that back in NZ I would have thought he was doing great things.

But now, I think it's selfish.

You see, the PT's client didn't need to be pushed down on her lower back, she needed a lighter weight and education of how to execute the exercise properly.

He was just doing it to make it feel like she needs him.

But it's selfish and actually disempowers the client.

I see straight though the bull$hit now.

Maybe because I was in the same position a few years back.

Cool, the client has a good session with the PT.

But what about when she is on her own?

She won't have the confidence to train on her own, she'll train less frequently (unless it's with the selfish PT) and will therefore get worse results and reflect badly on the PTs business.

People often say to me I give too much info out for free non my socials and even with my clients that pay me, that I give them all the answers and that they won't come back to me.

But that's exactly what I want.

I want you to be able to get results for yourself.

The more info you have, the better results you will get and the better coach I become.

The more likely I am to be trusted.

The more likely I am to be referred.

The better you are and the better I am off for it.

Plus, I love empowering people through education to not only transform their body but to change their lifestyles forever.

Try it out for yourself.
