The H0m0ph0bic $issy Squat 🤥
There's been a big debate on my instagram lately about the sissy squat.
Which is actually named after King Sisyphus in Greek Mythology but someone accused me of using a 'homophobic title' in my post (that was actually posted originally top encourage people to exercise at home, not call people 'Sissy's').
I've got four things to say about this that I think we can all agree on:
1) I didn't name the sissy squat.
2) I don't think the word sissy is homophobic in nature. Sissy's definition is a person regarded as effeminate or cowardly. Just because a man has characteristics regarded typical of a woman; unmanly, does not mean that he is homosexual, in my opinion, though I do understand that some homosexual men may feel effeminate.
3) It's the name of an exercise, nothing else.
4) Too many people are looking to be offended, not enlightened. People, especially online, are choosing to be offended by things that really aren't made to be offensive. People are losing their sense of humour and becoming sensitive snowflakes, focusing on trying to categorise things into the RIGHT box or the WRONG box, when in reality, there are many boxes.
This is what makes us all unique and leads tot he diversity within the world we live.
Keto isn't in the WRONG box, I just think it's in the UNSUSTAINABLE box.
Crossfit isn't in the WRONG box either, it's in the NOT FOR ME box.
So here's a question for you.
What box is your health in?
The CBF [Can't Be F**ed] box or the LET'S DO IT box?
Join Team Brock Ashby if it was in the second box!
