How You Can Get Out Of A Slump Today 🤯
When you get into a slump, I think it's because you've disempowered yourself via neglecting the things you need to do and replacing them with things that are lower on the priority list, or not on the list at all.
Think about it...
When you're in a slump, you feel overwhelmed and like you're drowning in problems, yet completely avoiding the solution by procrastinating.
The hard thing to hear is this...
The only way to get out of a slump, is to gather your tools and climb out of the hole that you created for yourself.
Simple example, you need to do the dishes.
You avoid them by lying on the couch, watching TV and browsing on your phone.
You need to be doing the dishes.
You're not doing them because you can't be bothered and would rather do it later.
But later, you'll be even more tired and less likely to do them, so you save them for your flat mates or your future self to do in the morning time.
Subconsciously, you wear the burden of putting things away and running from the exact things you need to do.
And to me, the price you pay from wearing a subconscious burden over actually doing the dishes for 5mins, is a no brainer.
You could be thinking that I have completely over analysed this whole process of doing the dishes... and yes I have.
But when it's doing a workout, eating a healthy meal or doing a generous act for someone, all costs add up and can be completely avoided by doing the exact thing you are avoiding.
So what's the solution?
Do the thing you are avoiding.
