More Than Just A Big Bro

I can’t think straight.

I feel terrible.

The last email I sent conveyed a message but didn’t paint a picture of someone very special to me in the right light at all.

A person who actually played 4 sports a year.

A person who was way more active than I gave credit for.

A person who would sleep with me in the lounge on a pair of mattresses to hang out with me on my school holidays.

A person who would let me come into his room and let me watch his TV when I knocked at the door for what felt like eternity.

A person who would jump on a flight just to support me on a reality TV show.

My bro.

But not just my bro.

My mother when I lost my mother.

My ride to practices and games when no one was there to take me.

My chef when no one was there to cook.

My shoulder to cry when i hadn’t finished grieving.

My basketball buddy when I wanted to play basketball and he clearly didn’t want to.

My place to stay when I had nowhere.

And most recently, my tour guide in Bali.

As a younger brother, I do stupid stuff.

I don’t think before I act, I’ve done it my whole life and still do it today and my last email was a classic example of that.

If you ever get the chance to meet him, he’s a great guy, with great chat and an even better heart.

It’s going to be an honor to be the best man at his wedding when he marries the woman of your dreams.

Love you big bro.

If you don't join Team Brock Ashby from this e-mail, to be honest I'm not too fussed.

I’m just grateful for my family and who I have supporting me <3
