Why I Changed My G-String

This right here is a photo of the old strings of my acoustic guitar.

About 4 weeks ago, I was standing in my lounge room slamming away on my guitar and I realised something was different.

The chords still sounded the same.

The strings still played the correct pitch.

I was still capable of playing a song top to bottom.

But 'it just didn't sound right'.

A G chord sounded like a sad G[uy].

An A Minor sounded like an A Melancholic (music joke lol).

When life comes to this point, I know I need to get the pliers out and change the strings.

There's nothing more satisfying then putting on new strings on a guitar.

Especially one you've had since 14 years old. That's my baby.

It's kind of like putting on new shoes for the first time, it feels like you're walking on air.

The strings sing like an angelic choir that's been together for years.

My hands skim across the strings like a skimming stone on a calm summers beach.

The low E strings talks with the bassy tone of David Attenborough and the top E strings chirp like morning birds in the forests of New Zealand.

Why did it take 4 weeks to change them?

LAZINESS.

I tolerated lack of excellence due to my lack of diligence.

I sacrificed my best because I couldn't put away 30mins for a better future, for a better experience.

It only takes as little as 30mins to change the future of your life.

LACK OF EXCELLENCE IS LACK OF DILIGENCE.
