33 Degrees Celsius and Swims For The Soul

It’s 33 degrees (celsius, not sure on farenheit) here in Sydney, ridiculously hot.

Way, way, way hot.

My apartment feels like a Sauna.

The windows face the sun from sunrise to sunset, so it collects all the suns warmth and stores it.

And on days like this opening the windows just bring more hot air in, so I’m kind of screwed.

I’ve got air conditioning but only in my lounge and I like to work in room.

In my room I have a ceiling fan but that just circulates the hot air round without cooling it down #firstworldproblems I know, I know...

So I’m down at the pool now at the bottom of my building.

*GOES FOR A SWIM*

As I write this email every 5 mins I’m jumping in the pool to stop myself from dying of heat stroke.

Every time I jump in the pool it refreshes me.

I’m not getting any more of my email done in the pool because I’m diving in, swimming around, sinking to the bottom and pushing off the pool walls but I feel better after it.

I feel awake and fresh.

I feel ready to come back and keep working on this email.

Then when I feel like I can’t focus because I’m too hot. I swim and feel fresh again. Revitalise the soul.

To produce the best work, we must feel at our best.

That’s why it’s important when we diet, we don’t stay in a calorie deficit for long periods of time.

We diet, we get the goal and we go to maintenance and revitalise the soul.

The same with our careers.

We work hard, then we go on a vacation or we take a day off and do something we absolutely love.

Or else we run the risk of burning out.

I’ve already burnt out about 5 times in my life and I'm only 25. The future is looking bright :/

*GOES FOR A SWIM*

I know how much that sucks and how much it can affect you mentally.

The same with our relationships.

If we spend every minute of our lives with our partner, we may end up wanting to shoot them.

Humans need alone time and relationships need some amount of distance every now and then to make you realise how much of a blessing your partner is to your life.

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder" type of thinking.

If you’re sick of burning yourself to the ground repeatedly with no results, or results that just aren’t cutting it (pun intended) join Team Brock Ashby and let me coach you in a way that works.

A way that revitalises the soul and allows you to get the results you need.
