Modelling Schmodelling

Today I landed a modelling job with Hyundai.

I thought it was funny because I told myself I wouldn't do it anymore.

I told myself modelling was shallow.

That it was self serving and vain.

That it didn't require skill.

That it was just capitalizing on how you looked and not on how talented you were.

HOW WRONG I WAS.

I had a long deep think about it and changed my mind.

Modelling can tell a story that could change someones thinking pattern.

Modelling can help advertise a product that can make someones life better.

Modelling could be a stepping stone to a TV presenting job.

Modelling could be someone's passion.

Modelling could be a way for someone to provide for their family back in their home country.

Modelling could make someone feel free to be themselves and to get lost in acting as different characters.

For me, modelling is an opportunity to meet new people and in this exact case I thought of a verse in the bible I once read when I was younger...

"Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much." Luke 16:10

Modelling is not my passion.

Modelling is not my dream job.

I'm too wide and too short to be a model.

But in this case, modelling will opportunity to be trusted with the little.

And if I do this successfully, it could lead to an opportunity to be trusted with much.

Do a lot with little and you will do a lot with much. Do little with a lot and you will do little with much.
