A Turn For The Worst
Yesterday Kiki booked Jet ski's for all of us for my 26th birthday present on the Hawkesbury River.
I was sharing with Kiki and Jamal was on his own.
Kiki started off driving and I was on the back holding on for dear life.
According to Kiki our Jet ski was broken because it wouldn't go straight 😂
But as soon as she got the hang of it she was fanging it full throttle!
P.s. fanging is Aussie slang for going really fast.
Her confidence was so high.
And when we progressed to the next part of the trip, instead of going straight we started making 'S' shapes and zig-zagging up and down the channel.
Kiki was on fire so she took her confidence into the 'S'.
I was all for it.
I was loving it.
I even took my phone out of the waterproof box and stuffed it in my boardies and whipped it out when I wanted to.
Next thing you know, I'm in the water...
I stuff my hands down my pants, grab my phone, put it above the water and come up to the surface.
I look around to see if Kiki is okay and she's fine #phew
We get rescued by the instructors and keep going.
The only jet ski dripping wet 🤣
The reason that we fell off was because we weren't leaning into our turns.
As you turn left, you need to lean left so the weight is going with you.
As opposed to not leaning, or even leaning the wrong way, which will increase your tendency to flip because of the weight distribution.
If you're not fully committed to your turn, you'll come off.
Now lets say your jet skiing your way through becoming the best version of yourself.
If you're trying to lose weight, you need to lean in to your turn by getting into a caloric deficit, getting adequate sleep, working out regularly and stop buying foods you over consume (you eat what you buy).
If you don't lean in, you'll come flying off and end up lost in open water.
Whatever waters you are trying to navigate through, whether it's weight loss, marriage, a new career or self development, lean in to what you're doing.
You don't need to be the fastest jet ski.
Just stay on the jet ski and be consistent.
A jet ski with a rider is faster than a jet ski without one.
