The Way I Used To Try And Get A Client #Fail
Yesterday I was working out with my brother in Christchurch.
We were working out and I forgot my headphones, so I was feeling a bit... naked.
Out of the corner of my eye, someone came charging in and approached me.
He asked me how long I was training, so I told him the truth... 12 years.
He started telling me he has almost lost 40kg in two years.
I congratulated him because I was genuinely happy for him, that's a lot of weight.
I then see him ask one more person...
"How long have you been training?"
They answered him.
"I've been training for two years and I've almost lost 40kg."
He replies.
I think to myself.. maybe it's a coincidence.
THEN
I
HEAR
IT
ONE
MORE
TIME.
It's an undercover personal trainer, fishing for leads.
Respect to him, I was a fresh face in the gym.
He was just saying hi and making himself known.
I respect that.
But he's making one big mistake when he's prospecting out there.
One thing I learnt about personal training.
No one cares what you've achieved, they care about what they'll achieve.
I used to think having abs and a good body meant I would be a busy trainer.
Wrong, that makes you a shredded trainer... not a good one.
That's why Team Brock Ashby isn't about what I can do and have done, it's about what you can do and will do.
