Student Life Vs. Adult Life
I received an Instagram story question a while back.
A student was complaining about how time poor they were and I couldn’t help but deliver some truth.
As a student, here is a list of your problems:
- Study and revision
- Exams, assignments and projects
- Figuring out how to pay rent
- Maintain a social life
- Maintaining health
As an adult, here is a list of your problems:
- Work (and extra work that isn’t written in your contract)
- Kids (and dropping off kids, feeding kids, entertaining kids etc)
- Paying off a mortgage (or rent)
- Paying off debts
- Planning family holidays
- Making time for the husband/wife
- Maintaining a social life
- Maintaining health
Moral of the story is... If you’re a student make the most of all the time you have on your hands because when you became a full blown adult with kids, a job and a mortgage.
The importance of time never dissipates but the reality of having the time to do the things we need to do may.
That’s why it’s so important to make habits while you have the time because as an adult, time becomes a rare asset.
