Fit This Description And You're Mine

When I first moved to Sydney and began as a PT it was pretty rough.

The senior PT's didn't care about me.
I was lucky enough to meet Konya (the busiest trainer in the gym) who gave me his time of day to sponge off. Thanks bro!

The gym didn't care about me.
I was just a $400 weekly pay cheque.

I didn't really mind the struggle of trying trying to mingle with strangers whilst simultaneously trying to build a clientele base because I had done it previously in Auckland at a different gym.

But one PT really threw some shade at me.

She thought I was living beyond my means as a PT and that I shouldn't spend as much money as I was because "you never know when your clients will leave you", in her words.

WOAH WOAH WOAH!!

FIRST OF ALL, I'M NOT YOU.

SECOND OF ALL, MY CLIENTS WILL NOT BE UNHAPPY.

THIRD OF ALL, I'LL DO WHATEVER I CAN TO GET MY CLIENTS RESULTS AND KEEP THEM HAPPY.

FOURTH OF ALL, I'LL DO WHATEVER I WANT WITH MY MONEY.

FIFTH OF ALL, IT'S CALLED INVESTING... NOT SPENDING.

JEEEEEEEEEESH.

Aaaaaaaanyway 🤬

She questioned the equipment I bought for my clients to use.

I bought boxing gloves, pads, battle ropes, resistance bands, hip thrust pads etc.

She questioned the thousands of dollars I invested into courses I attended on weekdays/weekends.

I have spent between $10,000 - $20,000 on courses in Sydney alone (that's not counting my time in NZ and Gold Coast as a PT).

She questioned my watch that I was wearing.

I originally wore a G-Shock but now wore a Swiss Made Breitling.

She questioned my shoes.

I originally wore dirty Reebok Pumps but now wore Louis Vuitton Runaways.

She questioned where I lived.

I originally lived in a tiny studio in Potts Point but now moved to a one bedroom in Double Bay
(aka Double Pay, where everything costs double 😖).

She questioned my work ethic saying that my life was out of balance.

She was probably right, I created my own hours at the gym form 6am - 8/9pm and every other spare minute I had I was posting on instagram, facebook and/or writing programs for clients I coached online.

She didn't see my vision.

I wanted to attract a certain client.

My tribe, my family.

My clients that I could click with, make great relationships with and clients I could transform!

I wanted to work with clients that cared about the finer details... because I do.

I wanted to work with clients that dreamed big and saw the bigger picture... because I do.

I wanted to work with clients that have an "all-in" mentality... because that's what I have.

I wanted clients that would do whatever it takes to get a result... because I do

I wanted clients that valued education... because I do.

I wanted clients that would go the extra mile, work the extra hours, go that bit further... because I do

I wanted clients that challenged the status quo... because I do.

And you know what?

I still want to work with these people.

I have, I do and will continue to do so.

I'm not called to help everyone in the world, just people who agree with the things I do and click with my approach to smashing body transformation goals.

So if you want to progress every day, every week, every year.

You're my tribe.
