If We Had It Our Way, We'd Be Rubbing Noses Right Now
When I arrived in Shell Harbour yesterday I went in for the hug on Kiki's sister, we waved from afar.
She'd been at school around the children the kids she teaches.
When Kiki's parents came over I went for the handshake on her dad, we elbow tapped.
He'd been working that day.
Last night I met some extended family and we laughed about waving to each other, we kicked ankles.
I don't even know what they did yesterday.
If I was left to my own device, I would have stuffed it up.
I just forget sometimes.
There's other things on my mind than COVID-19 if the news isn't on in the background somewhere.
Having someone around will stop you from stuffing around.
If I wasn't reminded that we can't touch, I wouldn't have remembered.
It's built into Maori culture, if we had our way we'd all be touching noses when we meet each other!
If you have no one watching your fitness and keeping you accountable to what you want to achieve, chances are you're probably stuffing around too.
Random workout program.
Random exercises.
Dodgy technique.
Fluctuating motivation.
Iffy results.
