Holidaying In Our Own Backyard..
Only a three hour drive and it feels like we are in a completely different country.
We can't cross any borders outside of NSW, so I decided to take Kiki away to Jervis Beach for a weekend away.
White sand.
Blue waters.
We napped on the beach.
We went for a swim.
We ate fish and chips by the ocean.
We bought fudge balls from a local sweet store.
We saw a kangaroo, parakeets and wild rabbits.
We're going out for dinner tonight at Stone Grill.
We feel like tourists in our own backyard.
A holiday is an attitude, not a destination.
You don't need to jump on a plane to have a good holiday.
You can be in the Maldives and have a sh*tty time.
Too often we look in the wrong places for the things we want.
We look for holiday destinations instead of the person we're taking away.
We look for a job that pays well instead of looking for something that will make us feel fulfilment and purpose.
We look for a fat burner, a meal plan and a HIIT workout instead of looking for the principles and strategies that will get us the result.
