Let Me Introduce You To The Regression Of The Mean...
Life is not about balance, it's about priorities.
I think too many people try to live a perfectly balanced life in equal percentages, as if we were robots.
25% mental well being (mindset, mental health, education)
25% physical (being physically active and healthy)
25% social (relationships with spouse, friends etc)
25% spiritual (growth, meditation, feeding the soul)
But truth is, it usually looks like this:
15% mental (not enough time for yourself because you lost your job).
10% physical (not enough time to be active/workout because of your newborn).
70% social (a lot of time with friends/family for support).
5% spiritual. (very little time to pause and reflect on life because life it's chaotic).
And you know what?
That's completely OK.
Sometimes we go through things that throw us a curve ball and flip our life upside down.
But have you heard of something called regression to the mean?
Things always come back to normal, or what our normal looks like.
Things always regress to the mean, whether it's a huge high or a huge low.
Things will always come back to normal and will be okay.
And I'm telling you this because it's important to understand that we all go through things that stop us from reading books, ticking off our workouts, communicating with our partners, getting our 10k steps, hitting our savings goals and taking time for ourselves but you'll be okay on the other side of it.
It's also comforting to know that these things will happen so they don't blindside us and send us spiralling down too far or so high up that we start believing we're some type of God when we achieve something great.
So take what you want from this email but I want you to know that we are not perfect robots and we must expect life to fall out of balance and prioritise our time on the things that matter the most to you at that exact time.
But there are definitely things we can do to lift our overall mean or average of the quality of life, which is why I created the 8 week TBA body transformation program.
To get great results in a short amount of time and lift the overall mean that you will fall back on after you come down from the highs and up from the lows.
To increase the overall quality of your life, no matter where your priorities are.
