I Would've Laughed In Your Face (true story)

IMG_6656.jpg

If you would've told me a few years ago that this is what my life would have looked like a few years ago I would have laughed in your face.

I work my dream job.

I have my dream woman.

I have friends that support me, keep me grounded and make me laugh.

I have a family that support me through anything I put my mind to and love me unconditionally.

What more could you want?

Nothing, really.

But it didn't come without struggle.

To get to my dream job...

- I sold burgers at rugby stadiums with my mate Caley at a company called Vbase.

- I used to wash dishes for my brother after school at Lone Star.

- I cleaned the church (and the toilets) I used to go to when I lived in Christchurch.

- I backed myself as a singer/songwriter, boy band member, model and TV presenter (which didn't really work out).

- I have been broke many times in my adult life. When I first moved out of home and slept on a mates couch, when I first started personal training in Auckland, when I first moved to Sydney and pursued personal training here and at the beginning of last year before COVID hit. Which is challenging to admit but is the truth.

To get my dream woman...

- I woke up every morning and declared to God and The Universe (and whoever else would listen) what she was like and how I would treat her and how she would treat me.

- I was in relationships that sucked the life out of me instead of invigorating me.

To get my dream friends...

- Just like I woke up and declared that I wanted my dream woman, I woke up and declared that I want friends that support me, challenge me, make me better and allow me to be there for them.

- I prioritised time to see them.

Anything great in life comes after trial and tribulation.

I cleaned toilets and now I transform bodies and change lives.

I have dated unsupportive and selfish women that weren't for me and now I couldn't be happier and supported anymore with Kiki.

I had no friends and spent most of my life alone when I first moved out of home and now I have friends that always check up on me and see how I'm going.

So don't be scared when life gets tough because beauty is around the corner.

Behind the hunger and lethargy of a calorie deficit is the beach bod that you've desired for years.

Behind the hours of going to job interviews and getting told "No" is a job that fulfils you.

Behind every break up and toxic relationship is an opportunity to meet your wife/husband (if you want to get married).

Behind every failed diet is a diet that works for you and improves your relationship with food.

Behind every daily email you read of mine is an opportunity to change your body, mindset and life.
