Putting Muscle Soreness To Bed 🛌

It's time to put SORENESS to bed.

If you asked anyone what their goal is in training, they would never say "I want to be as sore as possible".

So that should never be the goal.

The goal should be to be stronger, to build muscle, to be more confident, to move better with your body.

Soreness is a byproduct of getting to a goal but is not a goal itself.

Soreness happens when you take a muscle close to failure.

Taking a muscle close to failure is how you build muscle/get stronger.

So building muscle and getting stronger is associated with muscle soreness but it isn't the cause of building muscle and getting stronger.

ASSOCIATION VS CAUSATION.

Any one can get sore.

Do 3 sets of push ups until complete failure and you'll get sore but that doesn't necessarily mean it gets you to your goal.

So yes, it's a part of the puzzle but it isn't 'the puzzle'.

It should never be the ultimate goal of anything but something that happens along the way.

Hope that helps!
