A Side Of My Training I Haven't Shown You...
What you see right here is the other side of my training.
5-6 x per week I lift weights to build muscle and get strong.
3-4 x per week I do Jiu Jitsu, preferably No-Gi (without the white pyjamas), to solve physical problems and improve my cardio.
For a while I was finding lifting weights stale.
After 14 years of lifting weights, I needed a reason to use this muscle and strength that I have built and I have found that in wrestling with other sweaty men 😂
I no longer personally find lifting weights to look like a Greek God desirable, though it does whisper in my ear daily and nudges me to stop eating when I can't help myself lol.
That was my early pursuit as a teenager, the aesthetic pursuit, but now I'm at a point that I want to use it for something and in saying that, I will compete next year as a White Belt in competition.
You can only find out your ability when you test it.
In Jiu Jitsu, that is through competition.
In fitness, that is through strength testing, weight tracking and photo comparisons.
We are all at different points in our journey and whether you want to build muscle to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger or get mobile to crawl around with your toddler, my programs will make that happen for you.
