Monday Motivation: Are You Going To Let A Baby Show You Up?

Hey mate,

A quick insight from my daughter learning how to commando crawl as from yesterday.

She has very little understanding of what other babies are achieving and at what age.

She also has almost no concept of what she can achieve with her growing capabilities.

So what does she do?

She keeps trying.

When she fails, she keeps trying.

She even tries when she feels like giving up and crying.

"The more you ask for the more you are likely to get. In negotiation studies, aspiration is correlated with result. Within reason, it pays to think positively." - Roger Fisher and William Ury.

I read this quote in a negotiation book I finished reading a couple of weeks ago and it sums up my daughters attitude towards crawling and rolling.

So now, I flip the question to you...

What do you do when it gets tough?

Do you give up or push through?

Do you keep trying even though it hurts or do you flail under a tiny bit of pressure?

Are you asking for more, or settling for average?
