Monday Motivation: Why I Love Skipping Arm Day

If I told you every upper body workout that a man was to do had to have bicep/tricep exercises in it, you'd agree with me.

Every dude wants bigger arms right?

Double bicep flex to the girls, or guys (whatever floats your boat), would feel much more satisfying with a bunch of Popeye pythons.

But truth is, I have never done an entire "arm day" in my life and I am changing the trend of skipping leg day to skipping arm day 😂

Every time I see bicep or tricep exercises in my program, I'm swapping them out for trap exercises, lat exercises and extra deltoid work.

Just because everyone else does something, does not mean that you need to do it.

People drink, I don't.

People do coke, I couldn't think of anything worse.

People complain about their life, I like to look at solutions and positives.

People like to run for cardio, you might think it's boring and play tennis instead.

I don't train my arms in an isolated fashion because genetically I think they already grow from the compound exercises that I do (pull ups, bench press, overhead press, bent over row etc etc). I substitute those arm exercises for body parts that I believe are lagging for me, which happen to be my traps, medial deltoid and lats.

We are all created different and each person needs something slightly different. This goes for you too.

Maybe your calves are jacked genetically and you don't need to touch them ever again. Substitute any calf work for other work that you want to prioritise.

So if you want a personalised approach to your fitness, working with me 1-1 as your personalised coach may be better for you than something more general.
