How A Lazy Saturday Can Still Be A Win 🍿
On Saturday, I had a right lazy day.
Walked down to the beach with my wife.
Face timed the family back home and played some cards (which I lost and I bloody hate losing, especially to wife that doesn't even really wanna play).
I had 3 burgers for dinner 🍔🍔🍔
Watched a movie, Lobster (which is strange), and that was really it.
It's challenging for me to have a chill day with the levels of energy I have as it is but throw the pressure of social media where everyone is always 'doing something' on me and I'm on struggle street.
But all I did to combat this was moved the goal posts:
- Post on socials
- Empty email inboxes
- Watch one online video tutorial in the morning
- Get 10,000 steps
- Hit a workout
- Sleep 7 hours minimum
During the week, these are non-negotiable's that I don't even think about but this weekend I was struggling with lazing around and I had to feel like I was progressing in some way.
Which I was, when I took a step back and looked at my weekend.
Big battles are won by little victories.
Just like 10kg isn't lost in one 10kg chunk.
It's lost one kilogram at a time.
So I'm speaking to my self when I tell you this...
Don't focus on what you're doing day to day, focus on your trajectory and how your days line up with that.
