The Biggest Teacher Of My Coaching Philosophy 🧑🏾🏫
Yesterday was Fathers Day here in Australia and New Zealand.
First of all, happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there on this email list.
Secondly, here is a photo of my Mum (when she was alive), my Dad and I.
My dad was an amazing father.
He was encouraging, supportive, playful and gave me enough love to show that he cared and a touch of tough love to keep me on the straight and narrow (that I have learned to love as an adult and dI think that too many don't have enough of it in their life).
This is where my coaching philosophy evolved from.
My dad.
He always supported me and believed in me and gave me the best chance to succeed.
He practiced sport with me all the time growing up and showed me that practice paid off and made you great.
However, when I could've done better, he never hesitated to let me know that I could've done better.
Which is hard to hear at the time but essential for growth.
This manifested into an understanding that we need to work hard to get great results but we can always be better!
Which is why I tell it how it is.
Regardless if you like it or not because deep down, I know, it will help you to get better.
Whatever that 'better' is.
Better body fat.
Better strength.
Better nutritional habits.
Better muscle mass.
