Motivational Monday: Don't Just Make A Living, Make A Life 😍
Motivational Monday
For most people, they are happy to cruise on by with life.
For me, that never interested me.
I don't know why... I think my family instilled so much confidence into me as a kid, that I felt I could achieve anything I ever wanted and doing the 'normal' thing never really sat right with me.
It never manifested.
When I finished high school, I took a U-turn from trying to be a professional sportsman to wanting to become a singer/songwriter.
I did tertiary study at Jazz School in Christchurch Polytech to further my musical education.
Then after a year of that, I quit and pursued to be in a boyband with 4 of my mates and we ended up doing X-Factor in NZ and getting signed to Sony Music NZ.
I then did music professionally around New Zealand touring and releasing an album and also did some TV presenting and modelling on the side.
Once the band disbanded, I pursued personal training and after getting qualified became one of the busiest personal trainers in the gym (whilst also maintaining my TV presenting and modelling jobs on the weekend).
Once I burnt out in Auckland from working myself to the bone, I flew to Australia and picked up my guitar again and began to pursue music in the weekends whilst also being a Personal Trainer during the week.
I then moved on to Sydney from Gold Coast, as I thought there may be more opportunity there for me.
I arrived to Sydney and got stuck in straight away with personal training and did the odd gig with me and my guitar here and there.
Once again, I became the busiest personal trainer in the gym and thought I'd take a gamble and do The Voice Australia. Where I ended up on Team Kelly Rowland and ended up being here personal trainer too.
I went from personal training to online personal training and haven't looked back since and am now reinvesting my earnings into building an app and searching for a Team Brock Ashby HQ here in Sydney to work out of.
I'm not stopping and don't plan on getting content... well, ever!
I heard a quote yesterday and it lit a fire within me and I want to share it with you on Motivational Monday.
"Don't just make a living, make a life."
If you feel like you have just been in cruise mode on a high way that is utterly boring you to a silent death, I urge you to change your ways.
Take a risk.
Do a job that you enjoy.
Live in a body that you are proud of.
Sleep with your head on the pillow knowing you're working hard on the right path.
Make a difference, not just a mere living.
I know I'm called for more than just being a statistic and I think you know that you are too (or else you wouldn't be reading this email).
So make one change today.
And if that change is committing to a healthier body or fitter version of yourself, hit the button below and let me help you make a life.
