Motivation Monday: Why I've Been Up Since 3:30am
Hey mate,
Been up since 3:30am, couldn't sleep.
Had breakfast at 5am and had my first coffee by 5:30am.
Kettlebelle, my daughter, didn't wake me up.
I didn't have much on my mind, I was just ready to get up and start working.
I have this type of giddy excitement to wake up and get back to my client check-in emails, write programs, write this email, study, create content, sort the lease out for my TBA space (to be announced) and start my day.
I'm where I am meant to be and heading to where I want to head because I figured out my purpose when I was young.
It's not the most masculine to say but I spent most of my teenage years at the front of church, or even up on stage singing at church, weeping and crying.
I lost my mum when I was young and was questioning if life was worth living.
I wondered what I would do with this time I had on earth.
From 12 years old, these were the thoughts that floated through my head.
While teenagers were experimenting with drugs, getting drunk, travelling around and sleeping with different girls, I was wondering what my career would be, reading books and hanging out with my mentors.
I've been locked in from a young age and that is a huge reason I know where I want to be and how I want to get there.
"The main source of peoples frustration, is trying to get somewhere but not knowing how to get there."
Which is obvious when you see someone angry, or pissed, at their job, like a checkout person at the grocery store, for example.
Often this job isn't what people see themselves doing but they don't know any other way to get where they want to get.
They haven't spent the time thinking what their ideal job could be and what they would do everyday if they had the freedom to choose.
All it takes to avoid this is a game plan.
Sounds simple but this took me about 8 years to figure out.
Eight years of frustration washing dishes, selling jandals (or thongs, if you're an Aussie) and even being a cleaner.
"To hit the target, you must identify what the target is."
The same goes for your fitness goals.
So instead of flailing about for eight years like I did with a lack of direction, think about what you want to achieve.
Do you want to feel confident in your bikini?
Do you want to look better naked?
Do you want to be able to lift more than your boyfriend?
You figure out the 'why' of what you're trying to achieve because i have the 'what' that you can access by hitting the blue button below!
