Wednesday Wisdom: What I Gained From Washing Dishes After School

I recorded a podcast last night with my good friend Marley.

He said something that I want to repeat to you that really woke me up.

"You have to go to the end of yourself to find yourself."

And it made me think of the times that were my hardest that ended up shaping who I am today.

I worked washing dishes after school and weekends and that gave me my work ethic.

I moved out on my own to a city I didn't have family in at the age of 20 years old and that gave me independence.

I started working for myself in 2013 and I learnt how to run a business and work with people.

I travelled on my own for the first time in 2018 and was forced to make friends with random people and fend for myself in a foreign country.

These are times spent out of my comfort zone that have made me who I am.

Outgoing, independent, resourceful, ambitious etc etc etc.

But I would never be that person without the experiences I put myself into.

So what am I trying to say to you right now?

Get uncomfortable and do the things that you don't want to do but need to do.

Go to the gym.

Wake up early.

Cancel your uber eats order.

Go for a walk.

Ask for a pay raise.

Quit your job and pursue something you're passionate about.

Hit the button below and take the leap you need to take to join my 8 Week Challenge that begins on Monday.

Whatever it is, stop talking about it and do it!
